Role lettering across the back is what makes the group shot work, because that is the angle most getting-ready photos are taken from.
Robe or pyjamas?
Robes photograph beautifully but slip off a shoulder halfway through a session and need constant adjusting. Pyjamas and sleep shirts stay where you put them. A lot of parties end up ordering robes for the bride and sleep shirts for everyone else, which is a perfectly good answer.
